A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Good to know.

Simple answers before
you make the switch.

Do my files ever leave my device?

No. FormatPlease reads and converts files in your browser memory without uploading them to a conversion service. Google AdSense may make separate advertising requests; see our privacy page for details.

Which format should I choose?

JPG is useful for photos. PNG keeps crisp edges and transparency. WEBP offers smaller web images. PDF puts your images into a document.

What happens to animation and photo metadata?

Animated images export their first frame, with a warning before conversion. EXIF metadata, including GPS and camera information, is not copied. Native image decoding applies photo orientation.

Can I convert large files or HEIC photos?

Each file can be up to 64 MB and 24 megapixels, with up to 50 files in a batch. HEIC requires native decoding support in your browser and operating system. AVIF input also depends on browser support; AVIF export is not yet available.
