What happens to your files

Metadata and orientation

Converted images do not retain original EXIF metadata, including GPS locations and camera identifiers. Browser-native decoding applies EXIF orientation. No metadata preservation option is offered. Keep your original file if you need its metadata or original color profile.

Site requests and preferences

Your browser downloads the site and any codec code it needs from this origin. The hosting provider receives normal website requests, which may include an IP address and browser headers. The converter does not include your selected files in these requests. We do not operate accounts or a separate analytics service. Advertising requests are described below.

Google advertising

We use Google AdSense to support this website. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies and receive information such as your IP address, browser, page visits and ad interactions to deliver and measure ads. Advertising requests are separate from image conversion; our converter does not send your selected files to Google.

Ad personalization and consent choices depend on your location and the options Google shows you. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its servicesand manage your preferences in My Ad Center. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.

Your light, dark, or system theme preference is saved in local storage on this device. No file data is written to local storage.

Verify it for yourself

  1. Open your browser’s developer tools and select Network.
  2. Add an image, choose a format, and convert it.
  3. Inspect the requests. Site assets and Google advertising requests may appear. The converter should not make a file upload or conversion API request.

Some formats load extra code the first time you use them. Offline conversion is only possible once all code needed for that format has loaded; this website does not install an offline cache.
